Graffiti is the 3rd album by Chris Brown,a young talented entertainer. This album represents him,as an artist that is growing up in the music industry and taking more control over his music. He does a lot of writing on this album and I think he did a great job as he lets you inside the rollercoaster of his life in 2009.Vocally it is a pleasure to hear him show his range on songs like I NEED THIS and his maturity on songs TAKE MY TIME, and I’LL GO. This album has a diverse amount of styles on it but this doesn’t seem contrived on Chris’ part. The deluxe version I purchased was definitely worth the money. I throughly enjoyed all the songs with the exception of I.Y.A. but that’s only because I’m not a fan of electropop. I.Y.A wasn’t bad just not in the style I enjoy. :) Overall I would say you can see Chris’ growth as a vocalist, songwriter, and trying to be grown on songs such as “Wait” and “Take My Time”. There are also dance songs such as “I Can Transform Ya”, “Pass Out”. “What I Do” is a club banger. My favs are the ballads “Movie”, “So Cold”, “Crawl” and an the uptempo “I Love You”. I was also pleasantly surprise wit the reggae flavor of “Brown Skin Girl”.

Every single song on this album is amazing!!! I can’t list one song that I like more than the others because they’re all great. When I first bought it I listened to the whole album multiple times and fell in love with each song. It’s different from what we’ve seen from C Breezy but different isn’t a bad thing and in this case you can see how C Breezy has changed and matured. But he is only 20 and still has a good amount of growing up to do. This is another reason you shouldn’t automatically write this album off because of what he did to Rihanna. That said you can see how he poured his heart and soul into his music to deal with what happened. Some of the songs are light-hearted but others are serious and can resonate with anyone dealing with the craziness of life. So A+ from me and highly recommended!!!

I like this album! Although it is NOT my fav. by Chris. It is definitely a Must have!

This album is definetly worth the price. All the negative vibes left by other consumers is just not in the forgiven mood. Chris Brown is remarkable and he is still the prince of R&B. Keep the tracks coming.

Welcome to Michael Jackson’s world. Not that he hit any women but it seems that Chris Brown will never be able to live down what happened in his personal life. Don’t confuse his musical talent with his personal problems.
This guy has talent and this cd is a great effort on his part. He has grown and this has great R&B pieces along with some collaberations with other popular artists. I see tons of his cd’s on store shelves and there they sit.
People, you are missing out! There is alot of musical talent here to enjoy. Get it now!

Chris Brown’s previous albums were trash, why bother even making another one? This one was just as bad as the others and i keep getting the feeling that they will just keep on getting worse. If you didn’t like Chris before, you definitely won’t like Chris now.

Chris Brown’s third album, Graffiti is a solid album, consistent with the young entertainer’s ability to produce quality music. Many reviewers have been unable to separate the singer’s personal drama which headlined 2009 from the quality of the album. I do not suffer from that disability and the album was reviewed strictly on its merit without the stripping of every single lyric to get some subliminal message about relationship drama and apologies for past wrongs.

The title fits the tracks of the album. When one thinks of graffiti, images of colour, art and spray paint fill the mind. Music should inspire feelings, images, memories and movement. Each track on this album inspires at least one of those elements, some more than others. The well known “I Can Transform Ya” which features Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz is the type of track one most associates with Chris as he can showcase his dance moves and get his audience moving but his slow track “Crawl”is the most inspirational song on Graffiti. Chris hits every musical nail on the head with Crawl. Poignant with a great beat and sung flawlessly, this song will appeal to all ages and genders. “Sing Like Me” is a track that the ladies will have on repeat. Catchy and giving glints of Chris’ passage from a boy to a man, this will be a favourite.

The tracks “So Cold” and “Lucky Me” are more on the emotional side with the instrumentals on both tracks being stand out features. Chris Brown stands out from other artists with his ability to write or co-write songs that are lyrically serious or even melancholy but on a beat that is infectious and still causes you to move your body while singing lines like, “can you imagine the weight of a world, placed on your shoulders trapped in this world and no one can reach you…” which are lyrics from the track “Falling Down”.

Three of the major stand out tracks, other than the three already released from the album are “Famous Girl”, “I.Y.A” and “Wait”. “Famous Girl” is simply brilliant, sonically and lyrically. “I.Y.A’ is the type of song that will be a banger especially in the UK and Europe. It has a classic beat and the artistry of entertainers like Kylie Minogue and to some extent Crystal Waters come to mind when listening to that song. Adding Trey Songz and The Game to the track “Wait” is like having a double chocolate cheesecake and pouring rich, warm, caramel syrup on top, a hot combination with lyrics that are blazing and a beat that the dancers will stomp, spin and flip on. Hopefully a video is done to this song to add that visual dimension to its vibe. Trey and Chris in one video can only be a number one on the video charts.

Graffiti is a great buy. For those fans who want more, get the deluxe version as the bonus tracks are also worth the extra.

This kid REALLLLY has talent. Prior to this, although liking his music, I’d never bought an album of his. But I have to CONFESS… this is one of the BEST albums of the year for me!!!! I can play it all the way through without skipping and that almost NEVER HAPPENS! I do find myself getting “stuck” on a song and playing it repeatedly, but I can’t tell you which, because that choice changes depending on my mood. The critics are sooooooo WRONG/OFF. It would be laughable if the presence of bias, judgment and unfairness wasn’t so obvious and it didn’t actually affect this kids life. If you don’t get this album, you’re going to miss out. If the radio stopped playing the music of people who have done something wrong (even as a teenager, like he was), we would pretty much have NO MUSIC to listen to. I bought the international version so I could get the songs that weren’t released in the US (I luv “Girlfriend” with Lupe Fiasco- you can’t help but bounce around).
