This is a must have for anyone interested in graffiti art or the under appreciated work of many brilliant female artists. This book gives a narrative of many female graff artists who are in the shadows of their male counterparts. Ganz describes the struggles of these women, as well as digs into their lives to reveal the meaning behind their art. The poster that comes with it is also a great addition.

This reminds me of a movie I have seen recently,Who Does She Think She Is? House Party Kit. It also delves into the lives of the struggling female artists. If you liked this book you’ll love the movie. If you’ve seen the movie and haven’t read the book, then I highly recommend checking it out. You’ll love it! Ganz’s work makes for an excellent read.

Shoe art ideas/suggestions?
I have a pair of white, knee-high converse that I have begun to decorate with sharpie. So far I have drawn: -a cityscape around the bottom part of one shoe-water/waves with fish around the bottom of the other shoe-I outlined the shoelace-holes in rainbow colorsI plan to add: -caution tape around the calf of one {drawn, not real tape haha}-a Graffiti Converse Shoes stop sign that says “STOP. HAMMERTIME.”-balloons near the top of one shoe-a rocket, stars, and a moon near the top of the other shoe-a 1-up mushroom {from mario}-possibly a rainbow/unicorn-some quotes my friend and I have {they’re also her shoes, we’re sharing them}-possibly a giraffe on the tongue of one shoe-an ipod + headphones-a happy faceMy general goal is to incorporate every item/thing into the shoes so it doesn’t look like a bunch of random items just floating about. Also, it’s going to be mostly cartoon-ish,and I don’t want to draw anything too detailed. Just some cool stuff; kind of going for a graffiti sort of thing but not really so I don’t know. Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated :) <3
