This is an average level *art* book. It features almost exclusively ‘masterpiece’ or ‘piece’ work which is like tagging but with larger letter size, line thickness and outlining. I think it misrepresents graffiti art as a whole.But most importantly, not to burst bubbles but in the interest of getting what you’re paying for, it’s about half fake, aka: photoshop-ed. To be fair, all the art in this book is in graffiti “style” but about half was obviously done on a computer and not in any public places. Much of the rest of the work is questionable. If you’re paying attention, it’s impossible to miss. Lines don’t match up, the ratios and proportions in relation to perspective and corners are completely off. Graffiti over things like power boxes are completely flat and show no dimension whatsoever.I’m very disappointed in this book and do not recommend it to anyone. If psychosis is relative to shared views of reality, did I think I was crazy b/c I hung out with immature ppl?
I’m reading my general psychology book and it defines psychosis as a loss of contact with shared views of reality….—————————…at first I thought i had been schizo without understanding what schizophrenia was but then i realized that alot of my ideas just couldnt be understood by my former peers (19-20 year olds living in a college frat house) until i recently found other folks–albeit across the world wide web and members of academia–who entertain a healthy discourse of logical ideas.At the time, however, my friends/roommates thought i was crazy or genius just because the ppl i surrounded myself with were mostly under 30. Close friends told me i should choose my peers more Graffiti World Wide wisely–in other words, hang out with a more mature group–but with the intelligence i had, i also used [my intelligence] to gather people and throw big, boombastic parties (dark lights, fog machines, kegs, marijuana, with model type ladies [it was miami afterall], basically a club atmosphere with competing graffiti on the walls and music videos pumping music through a tower of speakers, strobe lights, in a two story townhouse with torches lighting up the balcony etc….)…..lol i do miss it but i got myself evicted because i deluded myself with grandiose by proxy (thinking everyone else is great in their own way with something meaningful worth learning from in order to enlighten myself) which led me to believe i was being prosecuted by god-like ppl when my ideas were criticized…..they call this medical student’s disease where one thinks the diseases one is learning about (in my case, im finally settling on majoring in psychology after switching majors 2-3 times over the past couple years after 2-3 different colleges) is suffering from it them self, thats why i dont take it to seriously (but as a healthy rule of thumb, i indulge in my beliefs and anything else in life moderately which requires me to repeat my newly found mantra of “STAY FOCUSED!;” evidently, weed made me indulge in my heightened five senses whenever a thought popped in, a sound was heard, a woman was felt, weed was smelled a mile away, and light-reality was amplified, etc…..) ———————–If psychosis is relative to the shared views of reality, did I believe I was crazy because I hung out with the wrong people?
