If a book entices me to read it again I know it’s very good. I am going on my third reading of “Soul Graffiti” so I guess that makes it very, very good. There is a structure and spirit to this book that is at once definitive and daring, ambiguous and authoritative, surreal and downright real. Hmmmm…very much like Jesus. In my first reading I was agreeable to weaving with Scandrette at length, both narratively and thematically — it was like taking a long, interesting road trip. In fact, my first reading took place while I was on a trip to New Orleans to help with that community’s recovery — a remarkable congruity of sensory and emotional experience. Scandrette allows us to know in vivid detail many spiritual influences and questions from his own life — these come through with great personal boldness and even retro-style poetry — nice. Writers- If you let’s say decided to make a war between heaven and hell. Which afterlife should it be at?
So if I make a war between Ever-Lasting ( heaven), and Ever-End ( Hell) Where should the war take place at? Should the war be in hell or heaven?Heaven is like earth and each after life ( place in religion you go to after you die) here is like a different continent/ location there. ( Don’t steal my idea or I’ll come looking after you it’s copyrighted anyways) For example take Olympus in the heaven in my story it’s ( Olympus) is as big as Greece and Zeus rules it along with the other gods and goddesses. In my story Heaven is the biggest continent and God rules it ( along with a few archangels and Jesus I guess) Fyi in my story the heaven isn’t like a cloud or anything. Graffiti Jesus It’s kind of like a huge majestic cityHell is the same as heaven with the whole continent/after life thing. Hell is like New York City. I imagine this dark, dismal, gang-ridden city with graffiti everywhere and neon signs pointing to the nearest strip club. I’m thinking like a dark comic book kind of citevery thing’srything’s black and white with just a few colors splashed here and there and daemons on the street who abuse any damned souls they come across. Though there are some places like heaven where it’s like a country land.I actually had this idea that it’s always night there ( no stars or moon) and that if you get sent there for punishment you get two choices 1) Join and become a fallen angel/ demon whatever but you can never go to heaven. 2) Just get over the eternal or however long punishment over with.And then of course there’s that middle planet. The planet is like basically a huge forest. There is no living life ( except for trees and a few animals) on the planet. Basically if any soul/spirit walks onto the planet they fall into an eternal sleep. The planet was created for those souls who were depressed. It was also created to host Adam and Eve. They weren’t welcome in heaven, and they were afraid of hell. I think I’ll add another alive being too: fairies, because I believe somewhere I’ve heard in folklore that fairies look like angels because they were too bad to be saved, but too good to be punished. The name of the planet is Ever- Rest.@ Bouncing can’t make it Earth would ruin the whole dam plot.
