Another great figure by Marvel Select or Diamond Select toys, whatever they are calling themselves now. The sculpts are great and the likeness of Don Cheadle is pretty spot on! I need to comment on the Border’s exclusive version of this figure. The figures are exactly the same between the exclusive and the regular edition except that on the Border’s version the Arc reactor on the chest is a blueish color similar to Iron Man. However, to be movie acurate it should be a redish color glow. If you want the movie acurate version skip the Border’s exclusive figure! The regular version of War Machine comes with the redish color arc reactor paint and the eyes match (they are redish also!) Don’t know why the exclusive version got it wrong or why anybody would want the incorrect color arc reactor in the first place? Other than the paint mixup, great figure!
I tired other disks they work, this one found the disk once but on disk 2 it failed again, whats going wrong? when I click ‘my computer’ it shows no program name on the dvd drive as if there is nothing in there.

In this point of the series, Dave Filoni defiantly brought the content up a notch. Some of the episodes should’ve gotten a PG-13 rating like Legacy of Terror and Brain Invaders.
Anyway, Season Two was great, from the evil deeds of the bounty hunter Cad Bane to the revenge attempts by young Boba Fett, this season was a hit and I can’t wait to get this boxed set after getting the Season One boxed set! This season was a lot of fun! My favorite episode is The Deserter.

I’m too old for this stuff – NOT!! It’s high time they turned the second season loose. One other reviewer said they should use this tech to continue Luke Skywalker’s further adventures after “Return of the Jedi”, ergo, the destruction of the Death Star. I agree 235%. That would be Timothy Zahn’s “Heir to the Empire” book trilogy, which I found to be no less than awesome reading. So much of that stuff would have to be CG’d or animated. I’d get a huge kick out of it myself. This Clone Wars series is for kids and for big kids like me. My wife is resigned to the fact that I’ll never grow up no matter how old I get. I have all Star Wars movies and all the animated movies and Clone Wars series and movies that have come out so far. I have them arranged in the proper order that the legend takes them. I’m a sci-fi nut. I’ve also got everything Star Trek and the complete Babylon-5 series and lots of old 1950s movies. For this, the second Clone Wars series to be coming out, and having watched all the episodes on Cartoon Network, it will be great to run straight through it without ads or those highly irritating (SHOULD BE OUTLAWED!!!!) POP-UPS that tell me what I’m watching and what’s coming up next. I don’t need to be told, and I’ll bet a belly button to a doughnut hole that no one else does either. I enjoy the animation and the style of the series, and I think they are pretty well told even if they are “downed” a little bit for kids. If I can handle Jar-Jar Binks without a whimper, this is no problem.

Season two of the Clone Wars series comes out with a bang. I really like this series, even though it is targeted at kids, it really adds to the Star Wars Saga. Like I said in my review of season one, they could use this tech to make a series of the adventures of Luke and the gang after the Battle of Endor. To show what happened on screen and not just in our emagination or in print. There are tons of stories they could use this type of animation for. I’m just glad they are at least telling this story. I look forward to watching all the episodes this fall on DVD without comercials.

Whats so cool about this season is that there is more then one Jango Fett, there’s a large group called the mandalorians who look just like him. before I saw this season I thought that Jango and Boba Fett was the only one but there’s more of them this season is so cool and dont forget about season three it should be on tv real soon.

This is a great figure. Great detail and durability. The removable mask is an awesome feature and under the mask is a quite accurate representation of Don Cheadle’s face. The arrticulation is not the best. But most marvel select don’t have much anyway. NOTE: In the movie war machine has a red arc reactor. However in this figure, he has a blue reactor with red eyes. That does not match apparently. But it is an easy fix. I simply used a solid red paint to fix his reactor. This is a great figure over all. I would reccommend this to any iron man or marvel fan.

When I first saw the prelim sculpt months ago, I was really excited about this release. It looked highly detailed, especially the facial sculpt for Don Cheadle. I just picked it up at Borders (broke down and couldn’t wait for my Amazon pre-order, which kept on getting delayed), and while it does look cool, there are some serious flaws that keep it from being exceptional. First off, the head sculpt is just as cool as the previews lead you to believe. It looks amazingly lifelike, and the mask fits snugly both on top of his head to reveal his face, and over his face, so there is no real chance of accidentally losing it in either position. Overall it does look pretty cool, but after having bought the 4 inch Hasbro figure, I did find a few things lacking. First of all, the eyes are done in red, to match the movie War Machine, but the chest and hand pieces are done in blue, like Iron Man. If you are going to go with one color, stick with it all around. Either make everything red or everything blue to match. It just looks a little strange. It also would have been nice to get additional sets of hands besides the default closed fists, just for a little variety, but no big thing. The biggest complaint I have, and this is after comparing it to the 4″ War Machine, is the lack of articulation in this figure. I like the rage of motion the 4″ offers in the arms, and even though the ball joint in the legs isn’t my favorite, it offers more range of motion than the Diamond Select figure does. With this figure, you can’t move the arms away from the sides (like if you wanted to form a “T” with the figure), and it’s weird how much that hampers the range of movement of the figure, and therefore the ways you can pose it. It is also lacking all of the letterings and markings of the Hasbro figure (on the deltoids and the right oblique). All in all, a good looking figure, but it does say something when I actually think a figure half its size is done a lot better.

This War Machine Marvel Select figure was featured at the NYC Toy Fair by Diamond this past February and was very well done. It’s beauty and detail will appeal to both a collector or a kid who just wants to have a battle with his Iron Man toys. (Looks just like Don Cheadle!)
These Marvel Select Toys are far better than anything you will find available at this price point and will not disappoint Iron Man fans.
