Bought three of these file boxes to hold letter-sized file folders. They’re certainly not the sturdiest boxes, but for getting an ever-growing pile of “important” papers organized and off of tabletops and floors, they’re great. I don’t often access the files in them–really just open them to file away more papers–so if you need to move the boxes frequently, I’d suggest going with something stronger. Fine for mostly untouched storage. The tops are slightly loose, but that’s necessary for fitting over hanging file tabs. Some reviewers have mentioned having trouble snapping them together, but I don’t believe it’s impossible; just lay the snap side flat of the floor and give it a good whack with your fist. Haven’t had problems with the snaps coming undone, even with considerable paper weight inside.

  2. Jorgensen Says:

This box seems sturdy and was easy to assemble. The legal size hanging folders seemed to work better than letter size folders. Note that if you have plastic tabs on your files, the box top sits on them.

its exactly what you would expect it to be. A very meets expectations product. no surprises and works like its supposed to.

This item serves its purpose but just know that it is very flimsy. By simply carrying it with the handles may cause the buttons to snap off. It’s not a big deal but it is anything but sturdy. I taped the edges together which help prevents the corners from snapping off. It doesn’t look nice but makes the box stronger. I still find it useful as a temporary file cabinet. The dividers will stick above the top of the box a little so the lid will not close flush. Maybe they make some recessed dividers that sink below the top of the box? Overall this is a decent product.

I bought these magnets for my two older girls (who are now 6 and 5) about two years ago. They love them still! Once again Melissa and Doug have come up with a totally cute way to help kids learn about animals, and yet still be a very durable and safe toy. The prices are a little more than for the average toy, but you know that you are getting total quality, and to me that’s worth it! The only problems we have ever had with these, is that my girls tended to “accidentally” lose them under the fridge sometimes. The magnetic backs are also very strong. We’ve been able to hold up multiple school papers and such without any problems. I was sitting for a friend a week ago, and her 10 month old boy loved them! He wanted to put all of them in his mouth. But it was great because most of them are too big to be a choking hazard or concern, and he could pull them off of the fridge and put them back on by himself without any problem. And I also knew that the magnet part covered the entire wood piece. (which is wonderful when you are watching someone else’s kid). I took away the little duck, and fish and turtle (just in case though as the size of those three kinda made his mom a little wary.) He loved them so much, that I’ve already ordered a box for him for his 1st birthday! That way he can have his own set at his house too. I’m also considering buying the dinosaur ones next!

I can’t believe we got all these beautiful magnets for such a great price. My child loved putting them on the refrigerator and naming the animals. So much more fun than passive electronic toys. Grandparents, I believe that toddlers & parents alike would be thrilled with this as a gift.

  7. Knoll Says:

My LO loves this toy. She is learning more about animals in music class and this toy just gives her a visual on the different animals. She is also able to pick out the animals now based on me asking her which is which. We are working on sounds that the animals make and this visual toy is excellent for that. Great idea. Each week I add a not so familiar animal to the mix to keep it interesting.

  8. Edmundson Says:

these magnets are great for small hands. regular refrigerator magnets are flat and hard to pull off or move around. the animals are very realistic and I love that there are a wide variety (farm, house pets, jungle and desert)

We LOVE these cookies! We take them for snacks at my son’s preschool, and they love them because it’s makes for a fun letters exercise. They taste great, and make me feel better about offering cookies after a meal, since they are made with wheat flour. A great choice for your little snacker!

  10. Howell Says:

My little one really loves these crackers! They are lightweight, delicious, and the perfect size for little hands. My preschooler also loves looking at the letters imprinted on them.

  11. Luevano Says:

And they are good for you. Even Mum likse to eat them ;) Pity they are now discontinued by Amazon!

  12. Frisbie Says:

My kids love these cookies. They love the taste and the fact that it has letters on them!

A friend of mine gave me a copy of this book for my birthday. I read the book and found it very touching, It inspired me to try writing lunch letters to my children. Well let me tell you, it’s amazing..I feel that the kids and I have developed a new communication skill overnight. I highly recommend this book……..It’s FANTASTIC!

  14. Garbell Says:

The first forty-three pages of Lunch Box Letters provide a guide and sample letters to help parents communicate with their children, “even grown children.” The idea is simple, yet most of us do not think to add a quick “I love you” note that will be discovered later in the day, much to the delight of the recipient.

As the book says, “Written notes provide a complement to all the hugs and kisses your provide.”

The next 75 pages are colorful papers with headers and graphics for writing the notes. These can be tucked inside a lunch box, briefcase, purse, or whatever. There are several birthday, Halloween, and Valentine pages for multiple recipients. As you tear out the pages the book will begin falling apart, but the confidence of the ones who get the notes will grow.

For the information, ideas, and colorful papers, this is well worth the cost. Who knows, it might just make your day as well. Five stars.

  15. Ice Says:

I bought this book to try out it’s ideas with my 10 year old daughter. What a great book. It really brought us closer really quickly. I was able to write things down in the lunch box letters that I found hard to talk about…once they were writin we both found it much easier to talk about.

    Great book!

  16. Fairchild Says:

What a wonderful idea! We are always rushing around in the morning and sometimes I never have the chance to say anything “meaningful” to my girls before they start their day. I purchased Lunch Box Letters at a school book fair and have been using them faithfully everyday.

In the preface the authors share why they write to their children, and they include sample letters, special hints and lots of colorful notepaper to give your creative juices a jolt. Each sheet has a headline at the top (“I’m Sorry”, “Almost The Weekend”, “Let’s Have Fun”, “Happy Birthday”, “You’re A Terrific Kid”, “Miss You”, etc.) and ample space for you to leave your own message. A fun riddle is also included at the bottom. There are also some blank lined sheets in the back of the book.

I was also pleased to read the number of ways the authors suggest you use letter writing to communicate with your children. A small handwritten note can really give kids a much needed emotional lift and ease pressures at school. They even include sample letters for specific (and delicate) situations such as dealing with a personal loss.

I definitely think this book is worth a buy. The advice and ideas you glean from the authors alone is worth the price, as is the gentle prompt it gives you to set a great example for your kids.

    Enjoy.

    Cris

This is an AWESOME set! My 3yr old grandson was so thrilled. It is one of his favorite shows on PBS, and it is really nice to have them on hand anytime he wants to watch it.

  18. Cho Says:

We purchased this to take on a long road trip with our 3 and 1/2 year old granddaughter. She already loved WordWorld and this 2 disc set allowed for more selection and many hours of viewing. Since our return she has been trying to sound out words just like on WordWorld!

  19. Erlandson Says:

My son, currently 15 months old, LOVES this show! It’s very educational, the animation is very bright and cute, the characters are adorable, and I’ll admit I’m often impressed by how well they make the words look like the animals, houses, etc. Although my son is a little too young to really benefit too much from it’s educational value right now, I think it does a great job teaching letters, words, different animals, and so on. I would say that the age range that this show appeals to is pretty wide, as my son has enjoyed it since he was about 6 months old, and my 3 and half year old nephew recently discovered it and is obsessed. I would also suggest purchasing this set over buying multiple DVDs. The other DVDs have 4 episodes, totaling 60 minutes, and this one has 180 minutes — you get three times the amount of entertainment for just a few bucks more than one of the individual DVDs. Of course, we may purchase another one as my son has watched this one so many times, but I would highly recommend getting this one first. Would also make a great gift for any toddler!
